pwillener
I recently had to uninstall and reinstall Ccleaner because it stopped working for unknown reasons. After the reinstall, all my carefully tailored settings, as well as all cookies to keep were gone! I do not think that many Ccleaner users will permanently uninstall this great product. So, my suggestion: during uninstall, the user should be asked whether or not to keep the current settings. Then, when Ccleaner is reinstalled, it should be using these saved settings. Thanks for considering it
Moderators Andavari Posted December 8, 2005 Moderators Share Posted December 8, 2005 For now there's a work around: 1. Open Regedit and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CCleaner 2. Click File->Export 3. Save the .reg file in the CCleaner program folder as for example: CCleaner_Settings.reg Now if you ever uninstall CCleaner just run the .reg file before you reinstall CCleaner.
