Problem with Total Physical Memory

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm using the latest Speccy (v1.13). I didn't check with the previous version, but Total Physical in RAM sector displays only "MB", not the real size (1 GB actually). Here is the full RAM information.

Thanks,

1024 MBytes is 1 GB so Speccy is not incorrect ;-)

that is odd, i agree.

what operating system version and service pack level

intel or AMD?

32 or 64bit (though with 1gb I assume 32)

This is on Windows XP Media Center Edition Professional 32-bit SP3, Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5200, a recently old laptop.

I tried previous Speccy versions, and I can say that the last working one that detects the Total Physical is v1.10 (as 0.99 Go).

Surprisingly, v1.11 introduced "Fixed bug in RAM calculation" which seems to have affected my system.

Thanks for following up. The developers read, though rarely comment on, every thread. They may ask you for more information if they are unable to recreate the problem in their lab.

I would like to elaborate more on this. A few days back I upgraded my memory to 2 GB (added another 1 GB). Both memory slots are now occupied. Using the latest v1.15 Speccy correctly identifies the Total Physical. So, in one way the problem I had is fixed.

But it still persists on the Asus Eee PC 1105 (see above post).
