keith1937 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2011 Now I am completely confused . I did exactly what you told me to do and double checked it This are the results I only see one line Top line of the "squares" graph now instead of all of it. Fragmented Files 56 Total Fragments 192 After the Defrag FF 49 TF 177 0% Turn off and a restart FF 77 TF 190 Where did all they come from In the files there is a huge list What do I do now? kroozer 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2011 Analyze, click on the File list tab, right click and Save List to Text File. Delete any sensitive information, copy the list and place in the code box, and post.
keith1937 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 Kroozer I have no idea what you are talking about sorry. Analyze, Where do I find that ? File list tab, Where is that Save List to Text File. Same again Delete any sensitive information, copy the list and place in the code box, and post. Same again <> I cannot find that either. Remember I am using W7 32bit Keith
kroozer 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 Instead of defragging the whole drive I defrag only the files. It's very fast. Just tick ☑Filename and defrag. The result is always zero frag and an empty list. Try it. If afterward you still have a list and wish to post it, these images will guide you. Only if your list is very long, please use the code box <> in the forum Reply to this topic panel to conserve space. If the list is short don't bother with the code box. Keith you answered your own question "where did they all come from" with "turn off and a restart" windows is like a messy child, defragging is cleaning up for the child, the second you are done (and often while you do) the child starts to play and leaves things places. you are fretting over a small irrelevant difference between 49/177 and 77/
keith1937 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2011 Nergal I think you have solved the problem "dont worry about it" That is exactly what I will do. Thank you all Keith
