Icedrake
Just putting it out there for anyone else who's interested. Downloaded it and re-installed my computer right after I got home, and it's working brilliantly. No errors, haven't had to run around looking for drivers, everything works out of the box. Winapp2.ini
I saw that it pushed, but I converted my linux computer into extra storage for this one (took its drive) so I can't test it. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

Moderators Nergal Posted October 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 14, 2011 it's install on my squid server now, fingers are crossed It told me it might not like my graphics card, but I only ssh and vnc into it so I'm not that worried there ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Nergal Posted October 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 14, 2011 Honestly I don't get why so much customaztion has been removed from the desktop even in Gnome-Classic I can't edit panels (I kinda get how people felt about the Windows 7 changes now ) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators Nergal Posted October 16, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2011 it's not that, it's lack of panels (and in classic lack of ability to effect panels) and that ugly bulky on my 640x screen (small I know but it's a proxy server I rarely need to GUI into) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. I can't stand screens so small, even my laptop has a 17 inch screen, so it's basically a portable desktop.
Moderators Nergal Posted October 19, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 19, 2011 Found it Right ALT+Right Click will give you access to move panels in Gnome Classic (to get Gnome classic back as an option there are already many online instructions, when I refind one I will link it here) the DASH bar in unity is just huge with no option of changing it's size. If I could get it to be the size (and location) of the windows 7 startbar in small mode (or a single line panel in gnome) I'd be fine(ish) with unity ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
