luik
I wish CCleaner support Maxthon browser cleaning. Here are the reasons why you should consider it: It's 3rd most used browser in China, was 2nd just some months ago. Apparently more than 130,000,000 people use it worldwide. Maxthon isn't just a Chromium clone, it has its own programming atop of WebKit (in the latest version). Thanks! Browsing with Opera browser elegance and mastery. Moderators Andavari Posted September 15, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 15, 2011 It's in the winapp2.ini file, but I see it only cleans out the Maxthon "Temp" folder.
luik
It strangely says Maxthon is supported here. Browsing with Opera browser elegance and mastery.
Moderators Nergal Posted November 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2011 strange I'm not finding it in the winapp.ini, maybe it was in there but not working? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. mastavic
I know this thread is several months old - if there's a better one, let me know - but I wanted to say that Maxthon should be supported by CCleaner. It is a browser used by millions worldwide. Thanks.
nodles
It should be: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/features "Other Supported Browsers: K-Meleon, Rockmelt, Flock, Google Chrome Canary, Chromium, SeaMonkey, Chrome Plus, SRWare Iron, Pale Moon, Phoenix, Netscape Navigator, Avant and Maxthon." Have you tried the latest CCleaner (v3.15.1643)?
Moderators Nergal Posted February 10, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 10, 2012 Maxathon is an IE based browser right? is it maybe cleaned via the IE cleaning rules? Ah as you said chromium based, so it should be detected and cleaned by the chome section ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
