kennith
I think CCleaner Wipe Drive missing the component of showing days in the calculated remaining time to finish. Because I wipe it yesterday with a 500GB SATA drive, it shows 10 hrs remaining. After a night wiping, over 10 hrs, it only completed 30%...It should show me how many days remaining, right? Moderators Nergal Posted July 17, 2011 Moderators Share Posted July 17, 2011 no ccleaner presents with it's ESTIMATED time to finish, like all programs. Might I ask why you feel it necessary to wipe the drive? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. redhawk
Maybe your drive has bad sectors, this can cause the writing process to take longer than usual. Richard S.
Erinkr83
I have this same problem. It only cleans to 98% but it never finishes. I had it running for 2 days straight!
Moderators Augeas Posted April 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 5, 2014 I'm closing this thread, it's almost three years old, there must have been more than thirty releases of CC since the thread started, and the last post isn't relevant to the thread title. Run chkdsk. use one pass only. If you still have the problem start a new thread with more details.
