Some houses nearby (including my sister's boyfriend's) had the first floor fill with water up to the windows! A house a few blocks from me was cut in half by a tree.

Many other tales, including one of my sister's classmate's houses burning to the ground.

Mine? My Oak Trees lost a few twigs! :lol:

This is my first attempt ever at writing a cleaner rule, but I was digging around my AppData folder and found a cache folder Google Talk uses to store avatar images, as well as a plaintext file associating each email with each avatar. This could be somewhat sensitive data in some cases. Unfortunately, the default avatar cache files Google generates/downloads(?) automatically that aren't sensitive are listed with random file names just as contact avatar cache files are, so there's no way to differentiate them with this simple ruleset, to my knowledge. CCleaner includes a Google Talk cleaning entry, but it doesn't seem to get rid of the avatar cache. I haven't tested this for any drawbacks it may have, but I thought I might as well share it. Sorry if it's been discussed already.

/me wonders how he piriforms with no power :lol:

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

laptop and optimum wifi :)

seriously though, my village has its own power company (as opposed to the dreaded LIPA) and this response time has been BEYOND unacceptable.

Of course, all of the village official's houses have had power since Tuesday.....but the busiest residential intersection (five-ways) still has no power.

My little town has a population of 760,000 :lol:

Usually, my power has never been out for more than 12 hours, usually no more than two honestly, but for whatever reason my whole village seems to have shut down and is pussyfooting around giving answers even more than the dreaded LIPA (LIPA is/was apparently voted the 'worst company' in America when scaled to average customer satisfaction)

I don't believe MACs use INI files and as of yet I don't believe CCleaner MAC supports any sort of add-on rules (it is still very, very young and, IMHO, un-fully formed)

I assume everyone is aware of the useful little tool named CCDump.exe at the link below.

http://singularlabs....cleaning-rules/

Here is some code to remove the 4 files from the CCleaner folder when you are through examining them.

[CCDump.exe files*]
LangSecRef=3024
DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\CCDump.exe
Warning=This removes files winapp.ini, winsys.ini, winreg.ini and regkeys.output.txt from the CCleaner folder. These files are retrieved from CCleaner.exe via tool CCDump.exe.
Default=False
FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\|winapp.ini
FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\|winreg.ini
FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\|winsys.ini
FileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\|regkeys.output.txt

These entries can still be cleaned on win8. Did saad mean rename or change the detect?
