Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 I'm doing a little housekeeping on the file, spotting lots of entries that are already built into CCleaner. Next release might, for the first time in a while, actually be smaller than the previous one!
Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Can anyone using Zonealarm confirm something for me? [ZoneAlarm Internet Logs*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm Default=False FileKey1=%WinDir%\Internet Logs|*.dmp FileKey2=%WinDir%\Internet Logs|*.log FileKey3=%WinDir%\Internet Logs|*.tmp FileKey4=%WinDir%\Internet Logs|*.zip is in winapp2.ini, but are all of the files called ZALog.* etc? If so, this is already handled by CCleaner, else, I'll leave it.
Guest Keatah Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Can you update the trim.bat file on the site -- http://www.winapp2.com/downloads.html --? I have two trim files, one is dated 27/01/2012 and the other 08/03/2012. The old file is still being hosted on your site.

Coffee4Joe 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) New Entry Needs DetectOS for Win8 (would it be DetectOS=7.0?) This resets the naming of screenshots back to screenshot (1).png [Windows 8 ScreenShot Index*] DetectOS=6.2 LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Default=False Warning=This Resets Screenshot Naming Back To "Screenshot (1).png" RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer|ScreenshotIndex In Windows8 pressing Windows Key + Print Screen takes a full desktop screenshot and saves them in C:\Users\"username"\Pictures\Screenshots They'll continue to be named (1), (2), (3), etc. until this regkey is cleaned. Tested and even if a screenshot is in the folder it will skip over that number. edit: added DetectOS=6.2 for win8 Edited October 29, 2012 by Coffee4Joe
Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 DetectOS 6.2 I'll test it out on my win8 machine, thanks.

Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 In unrelated news, I removed about 2KB of redundant code. woohoo.
Andavari 1 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 2KB multiplied by the number of downloads will eventually mean allot though.
Guest Keatah Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Huh, that's the same version I have in my folder. I wonder why I never uploaded that. Fixing that immediately. That's what's nice about projects like this, and other open-source freeware. Stuff gets fixed quick. See it all the time! 2KB multiplied by the number of downloads will eventually mean allot though. Could end up being billions and billions..
Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 2KB multiplied by the number of downloads will eventually mean allot though. It's less about saving space, and more about the fact that 10 entire entries were already included in CCleaner, and many other entries had FileKeys / RegKeys that were already handled by CCleaner, thus making them redundant. siliconman01 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 I hope Winapp2.ini and family made it through hurricane Sandy safely. Probably is without electricity however.
Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 Indeed! We are without power for now, but no damage to the house or family. Areas around me were not nearly so lucky. My town has its own power as opposed to LIPA, but even still only about half of my town has power right now. Hopefully will be up by tomorrow. This is the longest I've ever gone without power; the previous record was about 12 hours

Winapp2.ini 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 Thanks. Luckily, I unplugged my computer two minutes before the first power outage (there were several, most of them resolved in seconds or a minute or two, leading up to the currently ongoing one) so winapp2.ini the file is also unharmed! Andavari 1 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 so winapp2.ini the file is also unharmed! The file is digitally immortalized! Glad to hear you're safe. Between watching the Weather Channel's live YouTube stream and the news channels on HDTV that storm looked rather bad.
