Much too complicated.I guarantee that 99% of users will be confused and do this wrong.

If the warning was to complicated any suggestion then ??

The users of Winapp2.ini should have more knowledge and understanding about computers and that message was given to me from Eset them self when asked. The warning should be added to ESET Smart Security entrie as well !!

So single-handed you have burdened 354626 computers with 69.45 Gb of extra files :o

Wonder if you took in to consideration that some people download the file more than once ?

Unless the counter counts unique IP addresses and not actual downloads.

Definitely not 354000 uniques, but that would be impressive :)

that seems an extreme amount for a file of a couple MB for one month

The next version is currently 12 Kb larger than the current version, which applied to the 354000 downloads last month, is an additional 4GB of bandwidth :o

Since we're sharing fun facts; my HTTP server has delivered over 12,000,000 downloads of winapp2.ini. Terabytes are so much cooler than Gigabytes :)

How many in August? :o

I don't know exactly; I had to stop counting on the 8th because the amount of access logs being written overloaded the hard drive :(

If I scale previous months winapp2 downloads to the total HTTP requests of August (which is somewhat sketchy math) I get about 1.1-1.2 million.

So together we're averaging around 1.5 million downloads a month? Neat!

Sidenote: Heading towards an update this week, probably on the 7th. :)

You guys may need people to donate to keep your websites going then! That's a whole lot for one very popular file, might be worth also putting it on download sites like Softpedia, etc.

I'm working on collecting some entries not fit for standard distribution, targeted at advanced users. I've written two so far, they can be found here

You should also add the ccleaner lang folder

You also should think about adding semicolon the the start of the comment lines (in case anybody mistakenly copies them)

[JavaRa (Lng)*]

DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\JavaRa\JavaRa.exe

JavaRa 2.0 uses the .locale format, so make sure you add that too. (shameless plug: JavaRa 2.0 is now the stable version. Because "beta" just isn't cool anymore)

[MP3tag (Lng)*]

Section=English Language

Detect=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Florian Heidenreich\Mp3Tag

Default=False

FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Mp3Tag\lang\|*.lng

Excludekey1=FILE|%ProgramFiles%\Mp3Tag\lang\|English.lng

For Mp3tag there's also non-English lang stuff in here to get rid of:

* %programfiles%\Mp3tag\help\images\

* %programfiles%\Mp3tag\help\images\flags\

Also it could use a Detect2 so it will work with older systems such as WinXP, which would be:

Detect2=HKLM\Software\Florian Heidenreich\Mp3tag

Malwarebytes (Lng)*]

Section=English Language

Detect=HKCU\Software\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Default=False

Filekey1=%ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Languages\|*.*

ExcludeKey1=FILE|%ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Languages\|english.lng

Does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware even function after removing the non-English languages? I know in the past it would have to be reinstalled it if they were removed.

Yes, MBAM works fine with languages removed.

I do not agree that the non-english images in the "Help>images" folder of Mp3Tag should be removed. Doing so screws up some of the Help display windows....such as Help>donations.
