We need a different Detect or DetectFile for Thumbnails* that definitively shows that Firefox is installed on a system.

Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 create the HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Firefox registry key even if Firefox is not installed on the system. I assume that Norton products do this so that it will recognize the installation of Firefox if a user installs Firefox after installing Norton.

Fix

[innoExtractor*]
LangSecRef=3021
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\InnoExtractor\InnoExtractor.exe
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\InnoExtractor|Historial.dat

Added EXE because CCleaner might still show the option after uninstall (because the directory may not be deleted by uninstaller)

You just missed this entry in Adobe Flash Player More* :

FileKey2=%AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player|*.*|RECURSE

I know people want to keep settings, but not every setting for each website they visit. This kind of setting is stored in : %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player

you mean the files that are already cleaned by the internal ccleaner flash player clean (sol files other than the overreaching setting.sol which (while yes contains a list of every flash including the naughty ones) holds your flash settings)? or is there something else that is not removed from that folder?

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Yes I mean the settings.sol files stored in folders like : %AppData%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#website\ and they're never removed.

This is the same for SWF files in %AppData%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\'code'\#website\swf\ etc...

Could you clean everything in %AppData%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\ ?

Yes!

I always nuke everything in the Flash Player folder. Note that if you play any online games that save your score/level/settings you'll need to hang onto settings.sol.

Updated!

Thanks for the updated file. You've missed few posts / entries: #1695 and #1690.

Maybe you can modify the "Flash Player" entry and add a warning message:

I do not like the suggestion of this modification to Flash Player More*. Deleting settings.sol deletes the global settings of Flash Player as set up via the Flash Player Control Panel applet. How about a totally separate entry for those who want settings.sol removed....such as.

Yes, I know this. But as Nergal wrote already, a bad thing is that the "settings.sol" also contains a complete list of all visited domains using flash! I don't know what is more important here, settings or privacy?

If you want to keep your settings you can add this line:

ExcludeKey1=FILE|%AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys|settings.sol

If you want to keep your settings you can add this line:

ExcludeKey1=FILE|%AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys|settings.sol

My settings.sol does not contain the domain information because I have the following settings selected (for security reasons) via the Flash control panel applet:

- Block all sites from storing information on this computer.

- Block all sites from using the camera and microphone.

- Block all sites from using peer-assisted networking.

My settings.sol is only 1 kbyte in size and contains only the above settings.

are all those DetectFiles necessary for Flash Player More*?

why not use a DetectFile for the flash folder itself?
