Winapp2.ini additions

Also truth. The built-in entry is also Default=False! :P

Yup... Probably should rename [Macromedia Shockwave 8*] to [Adobe ShockWave 8*] and [Macromedia Shockwave 9*] to [Adobe ShockWave 9*] also. ;)

I think they were originally kept Macromedia because that's how they're built into CCleaner. I'd have to check if this is still the case though. :)

Hello, this is my 1st :) post int his forum, just for a little problem: I cannot download winapp2.ini as a file (Win7 SP1 x64 up to date, IE9): if I click on the download link, a new page opens in IE that shows the contents of the file  .

So I have to select all, copy and paste in notepad, and save to winapp2.ini.

In Win XP SP3 up to date and IE8, the file downloads as it should.

Can someone help me to locate the problem? Thank you.

Baud.

Have you tried right clicking and save or "Save target as" or "Save as" (or however whatever browser you're using words it)

Clicking the link for me (Also up to date Win7 x64) in IE9 tries to download file. I am not brought to the page. Sounds like a setting issue.

The same thing happens in IE10 on Windows 8.

The download of winapp2.ini file works fine in Google Chrome; so I guess there must be some specific IE9 setting preventing the download; I'll try googling further more.

That has always been the default action in Firefox for me, I always have to right click>save to download the ini file from the direct download, always have done as long as I can remember.

Strange. That was the case for me for a while, but it seemed to change randomly.

Are those entries definitely right? If so you might want to add an additional two lines as the two brndlog files are in appdata on my system (WinXP, IE8), not localappdata.

You could add these entries for jv16 PowerTools 2012 which is in Release Candidate testing state at the present time.

Yes. I've those files only in %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer. Don't know about XP, using Win7 64bit and I've "uninstalled" IE.

Great project! :D

but, there's a problem with the "FastStone Capture*" entry:

It somehow deletes your software registration, I had to register again. :(

If there is no fix for the moment, maybe you should atleast add:

Warning=This may deleted your software Registration!
