yes I believe we two three are of the same mind on that, but sadly the question is brought up for one or the other every 3 or so pages :P

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Looking at the above. I agree with adding a warning message to the below. It should be pointed out this file is used by Windows to do a normal built in defrag as welll. Some sits I have found do not recommend removing this file from your system as it may not be recreated. You might want to think about either removing completely or putting a Use with Caution message or only periodically as its only one ini

Modified Entry I noticed that the one FileKey Entry is cleaned now by default so I removed it.

I would prefer that you not remove FileKey2 from this code because the built in code for MalwareBytes removes the quarantined items. I leave that one unchecked because I do not like removing quarantined security items as a normal cleaning element. I would like this cleaning element clean all logs on its own.

[Defragmentation List*]
LangSecRef=3025
DetectFile=%WinDir%
Default=False
FileKey1=%WinDir%\Prefetch|Layout.ini

The above entry negates part of the features of Perfectdisk in that it prevents Perfectdisk from aligning programs so that the system will boot faster. I recommend that this entry before or a warning message be inserted. It may also negatively affect other third party defraggers (I do not know this for fact, but it may). The link below further explains how Perfectdisk interfaces with Layout.ini.

Suggested Warning message:

LangSecRef=3025
Warning=DO NOT use if your system has PerfectDisk defragging software.
DetectFile=%WinDir%
Default=False
FileKey1=%WinDir%\Prefetch|Layout.ini

First time I saw this entry in R-Wipe&Clean few years back. East-Tec Eraser has it in their program for the last few years. I always have PerfectDisk on my system. Right now I have PerfectDisk 12.5 Pro. I also have R-Wipe&Clean that always removes this file, never had any issue. BTW this file is not a part of PerfectDisk program.

It also keeps information about the programs were removed from the system until it got recreated again.

Windows recreate this file after restarting the system as long as Superfetch (Vista-7) service is running. In case if you delete old one and need to recreate a fresh one right away here is a code:

I think we should change the LangSecRef of the entry listed below to bring the CCleaner's Freemake Video Downloader entry and this one in the same category.

I have Norton Internet Security 2012 on my system. There is problem with the entry listed below. Each time I use this entry I start getting an error. Some of the log files at that location shouldn't be deleted. I am attaching few snapshots of the error with this message.

the Windows Media Player break outs replicate a lot of the default windows media player entry, perhaps a warning to Uncheck Windows Media Player or items may be deleted even if one of the breakout is unchecked

Both Real Player Trimmer and Realplayer converter only clean realplayer 12 (i.e. realplayer 15 uses HKCU\Software\RealNetworks\RealConverter\15.0\Preferences and HKCU\Software\RealNetworks\RealTrimmer\15.0\Preferences )
