Hello! Happy New Year!

Why the cleaning reduced? Now firefox and other programs will not be so clean?

Yep, you did initially submit it on 25-July-2013 so it's been in Winapp2.ini for 4.5 years.  Anyone complained about it destroying their system as of yet?  I yield on this point to whatever y'all decide.

Right. I must have not tested on a Windows 7 system, that is why I said in the link listed below that I tested on a Windows 8 64-bit system.

As I said before, removing these directories can impact any Windows, but it can really impact systems with Windows XP or 7. That is why I mentioned Windows 7 in my post listed below.

Cleaning has not been reduced here, rather, we merged many entries (eg. Sync Logs, Update Logs, TestPilot Error Logs -> Firefox Logs) together to produce the same cleaning results with less visual clutter in the interface. This applies to the whole file, you should see significantly fewer entries presented in the interface, however most/all of the same paths and files are still cleaned.

Some firefox entries are no longer needed (net predictions was a feature that was axed a long time ago and no one running any supported version of Firefox would have this file) or are already included in CCleaner's cleaning (Session Backups)

Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/2613c1c10bffff1f573fd185f6b01eb3283f8265#diff-9dc8dfcda6088a592d7e1c8ea13cc70bR270

https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/1379e0b485c5b41f3feae6715a11fcb399d7f19e

I removed last known good configuration entry. If it causes issues on systems, then it doesn't belong in the main file. You can always add it back yourself.

Please let me know if we missed an entries. I assume Robert got most of them, other then the 2 Smalik mentioned before.

CCleaner uses LangSecRef 3021 for internet security programs. I think we should change the LangSecRef of Avast, AVG, Avira AntiVir Desktop, Bitdefender, ESET, Kaspersky, McAfee and Norton to 3021 from 3024.

If I may ask, where does it show that CCleaner uses LangSecRef 3021 for internet security programs ?

I think this is a bug and I have reported it in the Bug section of CCleaner.  In winapp.ini, other av programs such as Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes, are in 3024

I recommend that the changes to move such anti-virus programs as Norton, Avast, AVG to 3021 be reversed back to 3024.

CCinidebug.exe creates/leaves multiple blank lines in file CCleaner.ini.

ccinidebug.png

I'm aware of this, it gets worse if you run ccinidebug in succession. I'll take a look at fixing it this weekend (and updating the tool to be aware of the new naming scheme)

Pretty sure it's caused at least in part by the EOF newline getting bumped to the top during sorting

I think we should change the name to [Temporary Setup Files *]

Question:

Does anybody use "DVDFab" and can tell us please if the detailed FileKeys 3 to 9 are really necessary?

Or can we merge them to "%Documents%\DVDFab*\Temp|*.*|RECURSE"?

I agree with you, butevery programm is an application.  :P

By the way its a hard discussion but I think driver software are also 3024 or Windows section. [Canon Printer] [Realtek].

Eg Nvidia is correct there.

We can look at piriform how they do it. They sort steam into multimedia, we have it under Games....
