Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

Recommended Posts

Just an observation in regards to Revo Uninstaller. Revo creates registry backups of uninstalled apps. I personally do not need these and manually delete them. There is an entry in Winapp2.ini to remove Revo's backups but, it does not do as I expect it to do. The registry backups are NOT deleted with this entry. What IS deleted in the database file that Revo uses to analyze the programs to be deleted. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what this entry is supposed to do - perhaps it's an error. Have instructed CCleaner to ignore this file (rupilogs.rupldb ) but, then  the whole thing is redundant as nothing else gets deleted that I can see.

Analysis Complete - (2.677 secs)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.85 MB to be removed. (Approximate size)
Secure file deletion enabled - Simple Overwrite (1 pass)

Utilities - Revo Uninstaller Backups* 3,864 KB 1 files
Windows - Cached Certification Files* 5 KB 8 files

All registry backup cleaners were removed from Winapp2 due to some problems in the past.

As to the other issue, this should fix it:

EDIT:

[Revo Uninstaller Backups*]
LangSecRef=3024
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\VS Revo group
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\VS Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller Free\BackupsData|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\VS Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller Pro\BackupsData|*.*|RECURSE

Removed the following entries:

FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\VS Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller Pro|*.bak;rupilogs.rupldb
FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\VS Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller Pro|*.bak;rupilogs.rupldb

I haven't used revo in many years, so I do not know what FileKey 1 and 2 are suppose to do.

I am a maintainer for Winapp2. I also have a open-source group on Steam.

For whatever reason this was removed from winapp2.ini.

Here's a re-submission with updates:

Changed Detect to Detect1. Added Detect2 and FileKey3

[Auslogics Disk Defrag Portable*]
LangSecRef=3024
Detect1=HKCU\Software\Auslogics\Disk Defrag Portable
Detect2=HKLM\Software\Auslogics\DiskDefrag Portable
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\Auslogics\Disk Defrag\Reports|*.*
FileKey2=%AppData%\Auslogics\Disk Defrag\Logs|*.*
FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Auslogics\DiskDefrag Portable\*\Reports|*.*
Edited by Andavari
Fixed the first Detect, it needed to be Detect1 to also work with BleachBit.

[Auslogics Disk Defrag Portable*]

Weird, it was added in 5.13 but maybe got accidentally excised with Auslogics Registry?

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Notice it's the Portable version, not the regular installation version. Although the "Portable" version isn't really a true portable it's just minus an installer.

Edit: My mistake, when I copied the email I didn't copy the whole thing. Here is the rest

This MRU file in cleaning is currently not supported by CCleaner, but if this gets supported,
it should look a little bit like this.
It should clean between point A "[A]" and point B "". All between this both things should get cleaned.
But it should always scan through the file with the switch [E] standing for endless.
It should kill all Lastfiles he finds within the file.

Found:
Within the file "C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\AceBIT\Password Depot 9\pwdepot.cfg":
<LastFile>..\..\..\Users\{Username}\Documents\Password Depot\test.pswd</LastFile>
<MRU>..\..\..\Users\{Username}\Documents\Password Depot\test.pswd=0</MRU>

I maintain my own personal winapp2.ini file.

Are there any entries in your personal winapp2.ini that are others might like - ?  It might be nice to post it and make sure it doesn't conflict with the main winapp2.ini for this thread...

Then is his personal winapp2.ini posted somewhere?  If so, where?

Huh? No, he submits entries to the thread.

What Nergal said. I don't keep entries I've made just to myself, I submit them. What I meant by I maintain my own is all of those in my winapp2.ini I made on my own and maintain it, I don't even use the community winapp2.ini file.
