Hence will not be added, we don't remove reg cleaner backups, for obvious reasons

I agree, but how about the many similar entries that are already there?

Unknown, but as community members mention/notice them they should be excised from the template.

winapp2.com needs a page of functional but ultimately rejected/removed entries for those "bad boys" who don't wanna foller the rulez

I used to maintain something similiar (mostly language files, but a few "not suitable for common usage"/"power user" entries like Software Distribution) but ultimately it was accessed very infrequently so I stopped

And that kids is why the "rules" are there (hint hint to those who publicly and/or privately told me that they thought I was being strict whilst I opined publicly to advise caution on some proposals ;P <----means I'm joking no need for public nor private rejoinder)

I really don't see any need to remove all of these cleaning modules just because they clean specific backup files.  Most of these modules have been in Winapp2.ini for years and users are use to having them do their work.  If a user specifically complains about module, then the complaint can be addressed.  JMO

You might think of this as a coincidence, but this happened to me recently. I installed Windows 10 and I ran one of the most known registry cleaners out there. It deleted some of the essential files that belong to the Windows Store. Unintentionally, I ran CCleaner and the backup was gone. It was not possible to fix the Store so I had to reinstall the OS all over again. Now, I strongly believe that we should not have any registry cleaner entries in Winapp2.ini.

Almost all of the known privacy eraser programs include it the way that is listed below. I never had any issue with this entry on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and now on Windows 10.

Doesn't mean others haven't also had an issue with it and haven't reported it, or haven't realised the cause. Unless siliconman can clarify the issue I'm not sure it should be changed (yet)

How should we seperate the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Metro Apps. Most of the Windows 10 App paths are different.
