Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

I thought of an even better idea for the avast entries. Why not combine all 3 of them and have it like this:

[Avast! Antivirus More*]
LangSecRef=3024

Detect1=HKCU\Software\ALWIL Software\Avast\5.0

Detect2=HKCU\Software\AVAST Software\Avast
Detect3=HKLM\Software\AVAST Software\Avast
Default=False

FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Alwil Software\Avast5\backup|*.*|RECURSE

FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\AVAST Software\Avast\backup|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\AVAST Software\Avast\report|*.txt
FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\AVAST Software\Avast\log|*.*
FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\AVAST Software\Avast|Log.db;backend.txt

All Avast versions in 1 entry and freed alittle more room for winapp2.

Edit:

[Call of Juarez Logs*]
Section=Games
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Techland\CallofJuarez2
Default=False
FileKey1=%Documents%\call of juarez\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE
FileKey2=%Documents%\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE

Remove Detect 1 as it is causing to detect Call of Juarez if any techland game is installed.

Edit:

[Call of Juarez Logs*]

Section=Games

Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Techland\CallofJuarez2

Default=False

FileKey1=%Documents%\call of juarez\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE

FileKey2=%Documents%\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE

Did you test before posting?

Detect1 only requires improved detection, not removal.

Detect2 only detects expansion pack: Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood

Detect1 detects original base game: Call of Juarez

Modified:

[Call of Juarez Logs*]
Section=Games
Detect1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Techland\CallOfJuarez
Detect2=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Techland\CallofJuarez2
Default=False
FileKey1=%Documents%\call of juarez\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE
FileKey2=%Documents%\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\Out\logs|*.log|RECURSE

- Improved Detect1

No I didn't test out Call of Juarez. I actually don't have that game. It was just one of those things that kept popping up on my cleaner when it wasn't on my system. I never even heard of it untill I saw it in winapp2.

On Windows 8.1, the FileKey1 entry for [Windows Burn Cache*] is different.  Here is the change.  I suspect the original post is in error.

Question,

[Steam More*]
Section=Games
Detect=HKCU\Software\Valve\Steam
Default=False
FileKey1=F:\Steam|*.log|RECURSE
FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Valve\Steam|Steam.log
FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Valve\Steam\SteamLogs|*.log

That'll be a no then.

I agree, not safe to remove wholesale

Another look through winapp2. These 2 entries seem to be just the samething:

[Aegisub (Auto Backups)*]
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aegisub
Default=False
Warning=Aegisub automatically saves a backup copy of each script you open. This will delete them.
FileKey1=%AppData%\Aegisub\autoback|*.*|REMOVESELF

[Aegisub (Autosaves)*]
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aegisub
Default=False
Warning=Aegisub automatically saves a copy of each script you are working on. This will delete them.
FileKey1=%AppData%\Aegisub\autosave|*.*|REMOVESELF

We can combine these 2 to make this:

[Aegisub Auto backups/saves*]
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aegisub
Default=False
Warning=Aegisub automatically saves a backup copy of each script you open or you are working on. This will delete them.
FileKey1=%AppData%\Aegisub\autoback|*.*|REMOVESELF

FileKey2=%AppData%\Aegisub\autosave|*.*|REMOVESELF

I'm not sure if that name is good enough, but I edited the warning and combined both filekeys.

EDIT: I wanted to post this here yesterday, but my internet went down for a long time.

Remove entry:

[AdwCleaner 3 Quarantine*]
LangSecRef=3024
Warning=You will not be able to undo your changes after running this.
Detect=HKLM\Software\AdwCleaner
Default=False
FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\AdwCleaner\Quarantine|*.*|RECURSE

It just doesn't seem right to have a cleaning program clean out quarantine folders. It would be much more efficient to have the program itself handle that.

adwcleaner doesn't have that functionality,and as far as i know doesn't allow you to restore from the quarantine

I do not use adwcleaner 3.0 so I cannot confirm this; however, post #2 on this forum thread indicates that quarantine restore is available.

I don't that it is a bad idea having it in winapp2, I just thought that it is much more effcient to have adwcleaner handle this instead of winapp2. I see some people perfer it here, so thus we can leave it alone.
