Maybe we could trim/clear up Winapp2.ini a little bit and remove "Firefox" from:

Can't because of duplication of names but want/need for thunderbird and firefox to be seperate. If two items have the same name only one of them is shown

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

Hello winapp2 community. Can someone tell me where I can download the previous version of winapp2, the october last month one? I am working on improving winapp2 for the BleachBit community, as I had the ok from Andrew, and I forgot to revise some entries and I lost my copy from october.

Who is andrew, and we're not actually supposed to actively support the importation of winapp2 to other software here in the public forum.

IMVH you are on your own with this quest.

Doesn't FileKey1 make your new additions of FileKey2 & 3 redundant?

updated

Just a thought - would it not be better to release winapp2 updates well apart from CCleaner releases? Doesn't releasing at the same(ish) time increase the chances of potential bugs caused by winapp2 being erroneously reported elsewhere on the forum as CC bugs?

Correction:

[K-Lite Codec Pack*]
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\Software\KLCodecPack

FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\K-Lite Codec Pack|*.log;*.txt|RECURSE

- Corrected FileKey numerical order in winapp2.ini 4.08.131125

I find the registry paths here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\VSFilter\DefTextPathes

Also taken from the default registry settings the hint it has in it is interesting:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\VSFilter\DefTextPathes]
"Hint"="The first three are fixed, but you can add more up to ten entries."
"Path0"="."
"Path1"="c:\\subtitles"
"Path2"=".\\subtitles"

What you think?

Probably, but at the same time maybe it could make the stuff harder to find.

Edit:

Saw Nergals post a few up from this one about duplicate names. So it wouldn't work.

Edit:

They are in both HKU and HKCU.

On my PC the existing rule cleans both.

More suggestions - there are several Photoshop related entries spread across 3 separate sections, I would suggest they all go in 'Applications' and therefore the following corrections:

[Adobe Bridge CS6 Cache*]
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Bridge CS6\
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\Adobe\Bridge CS6\Cache|*.*|RECURSE

[Adobe Camera Raw Cache*]
LangSecRef=3021
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\CameraRaw\Cache
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\CameraRaw\Cache|*.*|RECURSE

[Adobe CS6 Service Manager*]
LangSecRef=3021
DetectFile=%AppData%\Adobe\CS6ServiceManager
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\Adobe\CS6ServiceManager\Cache|*.*
FileKey2=%AppData%\Adobe\CS6ServiceManager\Logs|*.*

[Adobe Incompatible Icons*]
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe
Default=False
FileKey1=%CommonProgramFiles%\Adobe|*.icns|RECURSE
FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Adobe|*.icns|RECURSE

Also the following entry name change to fit in with the above entry names (changed from Photoshop CS Filebrowser):

[Adobe CS File browser*]
LangSecRef=3021
Default=True
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop
FileKey1=%userprofile%\application data\Adobe\FileBrowser\PhotoshopCS|*.*

Also have a new Adobe entry to add (I believe this cache location also exacts in Adobe Premiere Plus, and possibly other Adobe products, but only have Photoshop to test it with so detect key MAY not pick up those programs):

[*Adobe Media Cache]
LangSecRef=3021
Default=True
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe
FileKey1=%appdata%\Adobe\Common\Media Cache|*.*
FileKey2=%appdata%\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files|*.*

And another error, filekey duplicated in this entry:

[NVIDIA Updates*]
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\Software\NVIDIA Corporation
Default=False
FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Nvidia\Updates|*.bak
FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Nvidia\Updatus|*.bak

Can you tell I'm looking through the whole file for the first time in ages :P

These are not duplicated FileKeyx.  One is for Nvidia folder Updates and the other is for Nvidia folder Updatus.  Note the spelling difference.  ;)

I agree with not messing with actual ERUNT backups, it can be configured to automatically remove older backs all by itself without any need to manually remove them or remove them via CCleaner.

Doesn't FileKey1 make your new additions of FileKey2 & 3 redundant?

I want to stay the compatible to old versions !!!

I understand your addition of Detect2

I am saying your addition of FileKey2 is redundant.

Assuming .log.* is meant to be .log FileKey3 would be unnecessary also. If not, what is   .log.*   ?

nope blueStacks creats every 10 mb a new file eg. test.log , test.log.1 , test.log.2 so on .....

I have seen this only in the path of filekey 3.

This name duplication is preventing either one from showing up in the Applications tab.  Looks to me that the first/top one needs to be totally removed.  :wacko:
