place of interest %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SkyDrive\logs

I'm on a local account in 8.1 and never use skydrive. Could someone that uses an MS account & skydrive make sure removing those *.etl's doesn't break anything for them.

edit: If the above is added to SkyDrive App*, DetectFile2=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SkyDrive will be needed

Additionally, how do we want to refer to temp files

Do we want to make it

[someprogram Temporary Files]

or

[someprogram Temps]

or

[someprogram Temp Files]

Something like this is good, it keeps the names shorter to ultimately avoid using the scroll bar in CCleaner:

[someprogram Temps]

These can be too long if the program being cleaned already has a long name:

[someprogram Temp Files]

[someprogram Temporary Files]

I prefer 'Temporary Files' over 'Temps,' purely because of possible ambiguity. 'Temps' is also the abbreviated form of 'temperature' and could be confusing to people who don't speak English as a first language.

I agree with you !!!

stay:

Temporary Files

and

Temp Files

I would say Temp Files because to reduce the entry length.

Bug Report: CCleaner isn't telling the correct outside temperature. :P

I think regardless of whatever "naming standard" is attempted the cleaning routines will probably still be submitted in a plethora of differently named variants.

I never had Adobe Acrobat on my PC but CCleaner always detects it. I think Adobe Reader entries detect paths that need to be corrected.

No what probably is occurring is that reader was installed (either by factory or user) and the detect is in residence on your PC. As this is the winapp2 thread i assume you should be able to find those entries in your ini and remove the entry from your registry or drive. If you need further assistance please post back.

"Here Today Gone Tomorrow" is another alternative to avoid ambiguity :)

I've started using Instantbird and as you may or may not know it's base is a lot of Mozilla code and it creates a lot of similar sturctures and files. I would like to propose one modification and some additions.

From

[instantbird Logs*]

LangSecRef=3022

Warning=This will delete your chat logs as well.

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Instantbird\Profiles\*\logs|*.*|RECURSE

FileKey2=%AppData%\Instantbird\Crash Reports|*.*

To

[instantbird Logs*]

LangSecRef=3022

Warning=This will delete your chat logs as well.

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Instantbird\Profiles\*\logs|*.*|RECURSE

Because the logs should be seperate from the crash logs

Additions

[instantbird Startup Cache*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Instantbird\Profiles\*\startupCache|*.*

[instantbird Extensions Log*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Instantbird\Profiles\*|extensions.log

[instantbird Install Log*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Instantbird|install.log

[instantbird Corrupt SQLites*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Instantbird\Profiles|*.corrupt|RECURSE

[instantbird Crash Reports*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Instantbird\Crash Reports|*.*|RECURSE

[instantbird Update Logs*]

LangSecRef=3022

DetectFile=%AppData%\Instantbird

Default=False

FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Instantbird\Profiles\*\Updates|*.log|RECURSE

I'm not 100% sure of this last entry because I've not had an update yet. Also I have all of the Instantbird, Firefox, and Thunderbird profiles junctioned to another drive.

Thanks!

The other mozilla (based) products have no trouble with the update logs, so I wouldn't imagine Instantbird would either.
