SMalik
Google Chrome History (link to each website visited, the ones that are in your bookmarks) is not being wiped. I think we should consider adding the files listed below in a separate entry: %LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default History Thumbnails
SMalik
I would suggest a warning be added to that entry as deleting reg backups from a registry cleaner as aggressive as Regseeker (or ANY reg cleaner for that matter) is not necessarily a good idea. We shouldn't have any entries in Winapp2.ini to remove any kind of backup files. CCleaner is a program to wipe junk files, why is there a need to add entries to wipe some program installation files and iDevice backups in CCleaner? Moderators mta Posted September 13, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 13, 2013 We shouldn't have any entries in Winapp2.ini to remove any kind of backup files. CCleaner is a program to wipe junk files, why is there a need to add entries to wipe some program installation files and iDevice backups in CCleaner? I thought the idea behind the winapp2.ini concept is people put whatever they want in there to personalise it to their own systems. It shouldn't be used on any system in it's full state without knowing what entries it includes. Some wouldn't want RegSeeker Backups removed, some don't want Event Logs, even just a few posts earlier, some wouldn't want HTML Help files removed. winapp2.ini is the users choice to make CC as aggressive as they wish and each user should customise it accordingly. the very use of it should have an overriding warning: User Beware Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.

CCleaner is a program to wipe junk files, why is there a need to add entries to wipe some program installation files and iDevice backups in CCleaner? This Mta, while that may be the intent of the file/thread but in practice that's not occurring in the majority of user experience. on top of which many items are added to the program's actual rules and the over aggressive entries have in the past caused trouble with an application because the submitter thought it a good idea to remove even if it wasn't. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. SMalik
In the Nero entries case, I just have Nero Video 12 on my system and never installed any other Nero products before, but the current entries in CCleaner detect that as [Nero 12 Platinum HD Suite], [Nero 12 Platinum HD Suite*], [Nero Burning ROM 11*] and [Nero Burning ROM 12*]. I was not able to find the proper Detect paths for all the Nero products separately, that is why I just made a single entry for all of the Nero products.
