typo with two entries

fixed mozila to mozilla and added \firefox\ after

should \*\shortcutCache be \*\shortcutCache|*.* ?

[shortcutCache Cache*]
LangSecRef=3026
SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Mozilla\firefox\Profiles\*\shortcutCache

[Firefox Startup Cache*]
LangSecRef=3026
SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\startupCache|*.*

edit: might be able merge all %LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\ entries into something like this

[some name here*]
LangSecRef=3026
SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*|*.*|RECURSE

Saad,

1) I am not an idiot do NOT talk to me as if I were one

To use an acronym N.S.S

2) This is an official forum, it is not allowed to mention by name, or especially link to COMPETITOR'S PRODUCTS.

I've removed your links et.al.

I care Not what other's remove, ccleaner is a gentle junk! Cleaner; and if this whole time you've been submitting rules from another product's code, Willy-nilly I will personally ban you.

Edit: by the way I also have PSE11 (if you'd've looked at the thread I linked...) and the following post.

I didn’t talk to you in that manner. You are always very aggressive & act like a dictator towards other forum members! I have seen your aggressive behavior towards a member & I have mentioned this in the forum (http://forum.pirifor...940#entry231824).

This was just a suggestion & I am sure there is a person who decides to accept the suggestions or not.

You have removed that link from my post & that makes me believe that you are trying to be a dictator. I & some other members of this forum are going to protest with Piriform about you & your behavior.

Go back in the forum history; since I am a member of this forum, almost all of my suggestions have been adopted by CCleaner or Winapp2.ini.

Felt like this needed an exclude key

[Windows Power Efficiency Diagnostics*]
LangSecRef=3025
DetectFile=%AllUsersProfile%\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics\
Default=False
FileKey1=%AllUsersProfile%\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics\|*.xml
ExcludeKey1=FILE|%AllUsersProfile%\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics\energy-report-latest.xml

What's the ExcludeKey1 for? Will there be issues if the entry would just use |*.* (without Exclude)?

[Age of Empires*]
Section=Games
Detect1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires*
Detect2=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Games\Age of Empires
Default=False
FileKey1=%Documents%\My Games\Age of Mythology|*.txt

ExcludeKey1=FILE|%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology|*Readme.rtf;*Readmex.rtf
ExcludeKey2=FILE|%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III|*Readme.rtf;*ReadmeX.rtf;*ReadmeY.rtf

RegKey4=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\2.0|Zone
RegKey5=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion\1.0|Zone

If I recall wildcards can't be used when using registry/Detection? So Detect1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires* probably doesn't work?

I also added Detect3 & FileKey3:

[Age of Empires*]
Section=Games
Detect1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires*
Detect2=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Games\Age of Empires
Detect3=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\microsoft games\age of empires 3

There are many historical energy-report-'datestamp'.xml files which may deserve eradication.

The energy-report-latest.xml may be worth preserving - if not then why not kill the report producer (I think it has an Automatic Start service)

Thanks for the update. I found a typo (FK 9+10: \ instead of |):

Who allowed to add an entry in Winapp2.ini to wipe Software License (eula.txt) files of other software?

[R-Wipe&Clean*]

LangSecRef=3024

Detect=HKLM\Software\R-TT\R-Wipe&Clean

Default=False

FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\R-Wipe&Clean|*.txt

FileKey2=%AppData%\R-Wipe&Clean|*.log

FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\R-Wipe&Clean|*.*|REMOVESELF

I agree with saad there's no reason to have licenses being cleaned (good catch)

I've been using

FileKey1=%AllUsersProfile%\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics|*.*

and haven't had any problems yet.

MODIFIED ENTRY:

Changed name from [DragonAge Updater Logs*] to [Dragon Age: Origins*] and added Detect2 & FileKey2.

[Dragon Age: Origins*]
Section=Games
Detect=HKCU\Software\BioWare\Dragon Age
Detect2=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare\Dragon Age
Default=False
FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\BioWare\Dragon Age\DA Updater\Logs|*.*
FileKey2=%Documents%\BioWare\Dragon Age\Logs|*.*

eep it's been so long since I wrote that one but I know there was a reason for the exclude

I think the reason I had the exclude is to keep the most recent one as it's a useful troubleshooting

or because it's locked, undeletable and didn't want users complaining it wasn't deleting though it was showing in analysis.

I like this answer though so I'll say this one (until I check on some machine and/or search the thread.)

There are many historical energy-report-'datestamp'.xml files which may deserve eradication.

The energy-report-latest.xml may be worth preserving - if not then why not kill the report producer (I think it has an Automatic Start service)

Edit: I have reread my initial reason for it...it told me nothing

Felt like this needed an exclude key

:blink:

...past me loses 10000 internets.

FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\WLSetup|*.tmp

Blah, well:

Not safe to remove because it will cause Microsoft Office (most if not all versions) to request a repair install:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA\OPA11.BAK

C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA\OPA11.BAK

Edit:

If you happened to nuke those files on your system and got away with it then you got very lucky, but for most versions of MS Office deleting that/those file will result into a lengthy repair installation.
