Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

Probably, but the only one I can think of that doesn't use the default profile location is Pale Moon. What is it, %AppData%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles?

I am using PaleMoon v 12

(it has abandoned the rat race towards infinity)

It is however receiving security updates plus improvements designed for the benefit of Palemoon users.

I have two paths in use for my profile

C:\Users\Alan\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\PaleMoon\Profiles\4qbu47br.default

and

C:\Users\Alan\AppData\Local\Moonchild Productions\PaleMoon\Profiles\4qbu47br.default

The non-admin general user account also has

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\PaleMoon\Profiles\s1t2a4mk.default

and

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Moonchild Productions\PaleMoon\Profiles\s1t2a4mk.default

I cannot find any trace of a Palemoon Thumbnail.

If you don't use firefox 13+'s new 9 tab display page feature, I found out from somebody how to stop firefox from making them in the first place.

1) Start firefox.

2) In firefox's address bar, type "about:config".

3) Right click somewhere, click "new > boolean".

4) Name this "browser.pagethumbnails.capturing_disabled".

5) Set it's value as "true".

6) Close that tab.

Or just disable the new tab feature altogether (very first thing I did upon upgrading to FF13).

AH! found it in winapp.ini

I think it has an error

[Font Cache]
ID=1040

LangRef=3152
FileKey1=%WinDir%\System32|FNTCACHE.DAT
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%|GDIPFONTCACHEV1.DAT
FileKey2=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local|FontCache*.dat

Shouldn't it be FileKey3?

Why why would you page them for a winapp2 entry that has two filekey2? why not change the second to filekey3 as stated. LOL

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Howdy folks, after a lengthy absence I return with a question.

I have recently started using qBittorrent on my computer. It is a free/open source torrent client. I was wondering if any of you folks were familiar with it and what files (if any) can be deleted in its %appdata% folders.

It isn't a huge big deal because I really don't use it that frequently, I was just wondering if there is anything in qBittorrent to add to winapp2.ini.

OK I think I came up with one thing we can put for qBittorrent:

[qBittorrent*]
LangSecRef=3022
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\qBittorrent\
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\qBittorrent\torrents|*.torrent

Note that this would only be necessary if you choose to check off Options > Downloads > Copy .torrent files to... and then specify that folder, so maybe some of you might have some objection to including this. Let me know what you think.
