Agreed, I think it should be moved to winapp3.ini specifically The backups folder becomes polluted with backup files that notepad++ has "forgotten" over time, mine has over 40 0kb backups of files that I never created. Normally I'd say we should just remove it because most users wouldn't want to delete these, but given this issue I think there's a case for the usefulness of the entry winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

SMalik
Program names should be shown in the same way they are shown in the Windows Start menu or the Windows Uninstall section. The Weather app shortcut in Start menu is Weather and in the Windows Uninstall section, it is listed as Weather as well. So the proper name is Weather. This is the same case for the Camera app, for which the name in the Microsoft Store is Windows Camera, but in the Uninstall section and Start menu, it is listed as Camera. siliconman01
Btw APMichael, Do you know how to set up Winapp1.ini so that it will not show such entries as [Twitter Metro] and several Bing entries link [Bing Finance]? I cannot seem to find any instructions on how to do this little known trick. APMichael
Unfortunately, I don't know how to do this trick either. (The winapp1.ini file would definitely need a cleanup and more maintenance...)

I would assume just extract the winapp1.ini from the ccleaner.exe or ccleqaner64.exe using tghe /export command line option then edit the winapp1.ini and just comment out using ";" the lines you don't want processed.
