How to make CCleaner start after downloading new winapi.ini with CCEnhancer-3.9 ?

I'm sure a very old version i used to have ,would start ccleaner after the new winapi.ini had downloaded.

All i can see in the options is to start ccleaner silently,but i want ccleaner to start normally and automatically after the new winapi.ini has finished downloading.

I always have to physically click on ccleaner.exe to start it and that way doesn't seem to load the CCEnhancer ini entries.

This started happening after i updated to the 3 versions of CCEnhancer (a while ago now),and i've never been able to get that function back,where ccleaner just opens up after running CCEnhancer.

I'm sure it used to work with the old v2 of CCEnhancer.

p.s..i tried editing portable location,but it doesn't make any difference.

it seems to happen on installed and portable versions of ccleaner.

EDIT::it's the same on win7 and win xp.

CCEnhancer is not a supported Piriform product so questions about it won't/can't be answered here I'm afraid, try the CCEnhancer site

You wanna have some consistency then as there are several posts suggesting, and linking to, the CCEnhancer site here previously (that's where I got the link from ). No one's arguing (seriously), so personal note not necessary.

If that's the rule though it may be an idea for a mod to do a forum search for the program at some point and remove links to it as that's what I did to make sure I was ok to link to it's site. Perhaps a forum sticky could be made at some point stating that it can't be discussed and why (I presumed it was the same reason as why we don't discuss or help with rival cleaners, was totally unaware of licensing issues)

So it would be an easy fix then to stop those users coming here - either they remove the link address when using it, or you can remove it, after all most users who have it from here got it from this thread so probably know exactly where to come.

Edit: Actually, having just read the first section of winapp2 for the first time, I didn't realise "they who shall not be named" were named in the file, let alone so prominently. So we can host, and promote download of, a file with 'their' website, Twitter, Facebook, donate links, yet we can't mention the website on the forum thread all that is hosted? What, briefly, are the licensing issues Nergal mentioned? (feel free to pm me if stating that is also too sensitive to post)

Also been running the leaked 8.1update1 everything still points to the same locations. Even onedrive still uses folders labeled skydrive . I'm curious if MS will change that for the offical release in April

They might still refer to it internally as skydrive, i wouldn't be surprised if they didnt change the directories.

I'm liking it. The new mouse friendly context menu when right clicking apps on start is nice. I was hoping they'd add a faster way to fully close apps instead of dragging and holding them on the bottom, but that might be me being impatent.

Yes it's there, The X puts the app into the suspended state instead of fully closing. I think the system is supposed self terminate suspended apps after x-time has passed or if you're running low on memory/battery. I normally just alt+f4 to close one and use the drag 'n hold if I need to restart it.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to start a new conversation, but I have recently started using Winapp2.ini and thought I would point out that the OpenOffice entry appears not to relate to OpenOffice 4 as the FileKeys are incorrect.

e.g. FileKey2 should be %AppData%\OpenOffice\4\user|registrymodifications.xcu;registration.xml

and FileKey7 should be%AppData%\OpenOffice\4\user\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages|*.tmp

I am afraid I cannot correct all the entries and am also uncomfortable knowing whether even the above corrections are safe.

Hope this helps and that eventually there will be an updated entry in Winapp2.ini.

Of particular note: Chrome's extension settings are no longer deleted by Local Storage* under Chrome (they have been for some time, and I suspect a few users that reported it as a CCleaner bug may have met Voldemort or been using winapp2.ini
