Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

Does anyone know why IE 10 for windows 7 keeps creating a Adobe folder in the Roaming folder of the users/app data ? I don't have flash installed so am wondering why every time I delete the thing that IE 10 keeps recreating it . I know it's probably off topic but figgered this to be the best place to get an answer or maybe some idea why.

quick guess would be an adobe plug-in

Backup now & backup often.

I never got an answer as to why winapp2.ini kept deleting my search settings either after the last update. ]

no that was the right place for that, we just aren't sure why it happened and as yet cannot recreate it iirc

I read it that that folder only contained links, but that it would count that link as the actual file, as well as the file it links to. So the winsxs folder is actually just the size of the few bytes a folder of links takes up. I'll happily admit I may have misunderstood it though ^_^

I have investigated WinSXS some more and report my findings at

http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=38203

I knew WinSXS was bad but now I am appalled.

Some experts claim the real things are in WinSXS and the Hard Links are in System32 and SysWOW64.

I find that infact Microsoft changed the rules with every executable that it created.

- Edited lines 1,2,3,4,5

- Added lines 6,7,8,9 for Java 7/8

Never did see any trace of FileKey2, 3 or 4?

I believe Java 6 is using LocalAppData found old cache there on my PC.

Java 7 using AppData

please no. Please keep in mind that ccleaner is a gentle JUNK cleaner. It's not for removing those things you (and many of us) find annoying. Let's try to keep that in mind and the idea in mind that the community version's main and stated goal is to road test entries for the myriad of programs users might have but the developers don't and for newer discovered features of things (like our wonderful windows8 section.)

Secondly the inbuilt java clean does not get cache. I know I've been testing the various java rules last week.
