Detect=HKCU\SOFTWARE\KoshyJohn.com

FileKey1=%AppData%\KoshyJohn.com\DiskMax|*.txt

i think cleaning in that location every file with txt extension is not good idea, cuz users can make EnableDeepScan.txt file to enable Deep Scan, and it would delete its also.

in my opinion it should be FileKey1=%AppData%\KoshyJohn.com\DiskMax|DiskMax Log.txt - to just clean log file.

The name KoshyJohn intrigued me.

I found

http://www.koshyjohn...ftware/diskmax/

Apparently it is a junk file remover.

I like the idea of user created WinApp2.ini helping to remove the junk created by DiskMax :rolleyes:

Could there also exist a user created DiskMax.ini helping to remove the junk created by CCleaner :lol:

I cannot help thinking of two Oozlum birds flying around in ever-decreasing circles until ... disappearing completely

Perhaps there's a DiskMax2.ini that cleans up after CCleaner's oft-bugged Wipe Free Space :lol:

...or add an Exclude rule for EnableDeepScan.txt.

Most would only use the software once, then uninstall it anyway.

So deleting 'EnableDeepScan.txt' after use won't matter.

The software had little to offer me. My curiousity wasted 5 minutes of my life.

@FreeRyde: Implying you'd ever need more than CCleaner with Winapp2.ini! :lol:

@Winapp2.ini,

I've been using CCleaner since it's initial release, and have been very satisfied.

During that time I've tested many others but none come remotely close to CCleaner with Winapp2.ini...

Continuing to improve with frequent upates; another huge factor.

This forum is a big plus.

All the contibutors that take the time to compile, scrutinize, and post are greatly appreciated (even grumpy Nergal), and particularly yourself for the many additions, edits, compiling and postings of Winapp2.ini.

'Wipe Free Space'... once was enough! :lol:

Especially Grumpy Nergal!

I have been a user since the early days as well, though not initial release. I believe somewhere around 1.17 or 1.18 (either way many years ago now!). Seems I'm coming up on my 5th year on these forums even.

But yes, the WFS seems to cause problems for many.

I didn't know what I was thinking when I said 'initial release'. I was still using a Philips word processor back then.

It was 2.04 for me; about 5 years.

I discovered it on a disc that came with a MAX PC magazine.

Don't recall how or when I came across Winapp2.ini.

Probably browsing around Piriform site.

I often wonder if it's because of security software left running. Personally when I use it I disconnect from the Internet and turn off as many non-essential services and security software as possible, and have never had one issue using WFS.

Great additions guys, thank you so much! Maybe you add other monitoring software to winapp2 such as faronic's deepfreeze, stoneware's lanschool and fortres' grand clean slate? Alot of people would be looking for these cleaners since none around. Thank you so much for these great works!

Don't know where to start off with the Metro app's, cant figure it out. Instead I am requesting if somebody can do the Adobe Reader app

Also doe anybody know any file(s) I can add to the exclude list that will keep MetroTwit from forgetting my login details? (I think it uses IE10 for this)

I just would like to ask if is a huge delay is expected (can take minutes!) when run from a read-only network share. I've even made a specific topic.

It's best to download winapp2.ini and then copy only what you want from it into your locally installed copy versus using the whole file.

honestly, as unbiased as I can be, my opinion is Piriform are well within their right, as the code order that is used for the ini is individually piriform's. We, as users, are allowed to create our own for use with our personal (or business) CCleaner; just because it's plaintext does not mean that it is open source (just because there is no copyright symbol and it is found freely on the internet does not make it public domain, by U.S. and most international laws).

They devs have been supportive of this thread, and the one which proceeded it, because it benefits their software to do so. Not so they can benefit competitors directly by an unlicensed translator. Just because bleachbit is open source and has a good reputation, does not give them the right to plagiarize code nor co-opt other's method of cleaning because their userbase isn't involved enough to do it.

Basically bleachbit is offering users of a competing product a way of switching, sans Piriform's permission to access and translate Ccleaner's code which robs "the offended-party" of possible paying customers/donations.
