.msc error in v3.04.1389

Running CCleaner's Registry "Scan for Issues" identifies the .MSC extension as unused and marks it for removal. This is incorrect - removing the .MSC extension prevents the user from running things like services.msc or the Manage function from My Computer. For now, I have put it in the excluded list. Hopefully this will be corrected in next update. Thanks.

Hi, It would be silly for MSC to report itself, it would make it too easy to disable via malware. you will find no registry programs that will be able to see it.

Please follow the advice in my signature. (you can also rigbht click those entries and tell ccleaner to ignore them)

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

With all the extensions that the new build is finding I've unticked "Unused File Extensions" and don't plan on using it again.

I agree and have also unicked that option. <_<
