balloon66 Posted January 10, 2011 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Many programs put there keys and the licence-numbers in windows 7 in the registry under local_machine\software\wow6432\node\... Deinstalling this programs the keys and licences are often kept. It would be nice if ccleaner would be able to proof this area of the registry too and delete entries that are not valid any longer. mr don Posted January 10, 2011 Share Posted January 10, 2011 CCleaner would have to be an installation tracker for this to happen. CCleaner is just a junk files cleaner, not an install tracker. I don't really know if they will add this, due to the fact that it would have to exactly trace every file & reg key dumped to a text file of some sort in order to "remember" what to remove.
