mr don
Context menus can grow very long, trash your computer with lots of junk registry files. The following lists the common shell menu locations for all files & folders: ___________________________________________________________________________ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFileSystemObjects\ShellEx __________________________________________________________________________ Items specific to folders: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers _________________________________________________________________________ It could be listed under tools just like uninstall & startup are. Perhaps listed as: - Context Menu The option to disable or delete (Just like startup handler) would be awesome! + me up, or digg me down, lol. What do you all think? Albeit Nirsoft has two small freeware tools that accomplish dealing with undesirable/unneeded shell items, so why reinvent the wheel?: * ShellExView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html * ShellMenuView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shell_menu_view.html
