niche99
Hi, Could we have a clean up option to remove all but the last system restore points? i.e. automate the Tools -> System Restore -> Remove process. This application just keeps getting better and better. Regards, niche99
Alan_B
Hi, Could we have a clean up option to remove all but the last system restore points? i.e. automate the Tools -> System Restore -> Remove process. Regards, niche99 Sorry , but that is crazy talk. CCleaner has a reputation for safely removing junk files. Some people use the CCleaner /AUTO option and do not bother to see what is being removed. Some people have no partition image backup facilities, and their only hope of disaster recovery is System Restore. And you want everything but the very latest Restore Point to be purged with all the Temp Files ? ? Some applications create a new Restore Point BEFORE they either instal or upgrade, and what was the final Restore Point could be the only hope of reverting from a disastrous upgrade, but now it is "next to final" you are including the only hope for recovery as "junk-to-go". Moderators Nergal Posted November 29, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 29, 2010 Hi, Could we have a clean up option to remove all but the last system restore points? i.e. automate the Tools -> System Restore -> Remove process. This application just keeps getting better and better. Regards, niche99 as you state this already exists in Tools -> System Restore. It would be unwise to automate this as too many people would find that they only wanted some points removed. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
