Talldog9
A little background on S/PDIF and how it was made for ground loop isolators I've just made 2 very simple isolators. One very small one with 6 feet of half-millimeter diameter enamel insulated copper wire cut in half and both 3 foot sections wound around a peice of ferrite from an old transformer. Another one with 2-1 foot length 24awg rubber insulated wire wound around a doughnut shaped ferrite choke core I got from around an old A/V cable. Both pass a digital audio signal through without any problems whatsoever while preventing ground loops. These are so easy to make that if you have the supplies you could save money from buying ready-built isolators. The internet - Where men are men, women are men and children are FBI agents.
