Greenknight
A file recovery program would have a good chance of getting back your files if used soon, before they get overwritten. This one is supposed to be pretty good, and it's free: PC INSPECTOR File Recovery http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm

Greenknight
PC INSPECTOR insists that you save recovered files to a different drive. You could save to another partition, if you have one, or to a CD or floppy, or a USB Flash drive, I believe. Did you read the program's help files? Click the question mark on the program's welcome page to access them.
