Moleculor
So, I used to be able to type in "Warcraft" into the search box next to "Filename or path contains" and end up with a list of every single file in my World of Warcraft (and Warcraft III) directories, select them all, and defrag those files specifically. Now I can't do that. I type in Warcraft, hit Search, file list comes up empty, showing "No files found". What am I doing wrong?
Moleculor
Bump? I've waited through a few updates, hoping the problem would go away and I could easily select to defragment directories without having to defragment the entire half terabyte, but I still can't search for directories. eL_PuSHeR
You are looking for FOLDER names. It won't work.
Moleculor
You are looking for FOLDER names. It won't work. Yes, I know. It used to, now it doesn't. That's why I made this thread. I used to use Defraggler to defragment specific folders without having to go through the process of defragging the whole drive, like, for example, for games that I wanted to load just a tiny bit faster. (And it DID improve loading times when I did it.) Now if I search for a folder name, it doesn't work. It used to. I'd like the feature back. Moderators DennisD Posted July 30, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2010 Maybe for now, go back to a version which did what you required. All previous versions available here: http://filehippo.com/download_defraggler/ The latest versions of stuff don't always suit individual requirements. Just a thought. EDIT: Welcome to the forum by the way.
Moderators DennisD Posted July 31, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2010 I completely forgot about this little package put together by Andavari some time ago, and is sitting there in a pinned topic: Add right click context menu/shell add-on: A simple reg file to merge into the registry, which adds a Windows Explorer right click menu option to defrag any File or Folder with Defraggler. The download also contains a reg file to remove the feature from the context menu.
