A project recommendation for Piriform Team

The software you guys have created are absolutely awesome. In fact I now use all 4 of them.

Something else that is on my list of software that I would personally use a lot and I do not see many options for on the web is an application to easily find, sort and remove/merge duplicate files on my computer.

This app would be extremely useful for home and even office use.

Just looking at your current software lineup, I can really see your expertise in this kind of app, and I think a Duplicate File Finder would be a great project for your team and perfectly placed among your great offerings.

Anyways, just a recommendation. Keep up the great work.

Cheers.

Maybe they can include this feature for CCleaner. But duplicate files don't necessarily need to be deleted.

I love computer maintenance tasks.

Some of my favorite programs:

Wordpad -basic word processing

Notepad - temporary clipboard and basic scripting module

Windows Media Player 12- video, music and online radio player

Windows Media Center - live TV, local FM radio

CCleaner- handy computer maintenance tool

If something fails to work after using the registry cleaner, use SYSTEM RESTORE.

Indeed - probably why Auslogics' software is called duplicate file finder ;)

And I think this functionality is better as a separate app for that reason - you want good reporting / selective deletion options and I think that makes it too complex to be part of CCleaner.

I like the above suggestion of including this in CCleaner.

Also agree that not everyone may necessarily want to delete duplicates, in which case, CCleaner could provide options as to what would you like to do.

Anyways, I'm no expert, but damn that would be one great addition to Piriform's list of great software.

It is incredible the amount of duplicate files that can be piled up. Especially in an office environment. Damn my office server is so cluttered with duplicates it is daunting. My home server aint that much better either. LOL.

Cheers Guys.
