Ishi
This could be the work of a virus or a damaged registry entry. Consider doing a virus scan or doing system restore. I love computer maintenance tasks. Some of my favorite programs: Wordpad -basic word processing Notepad - temporary clipboard and basic scripting module Windows Media Player 12- video, music and online radio player Windows Media Center - live TV, local FM radio CCleaner- handy computer maintenance tool If something fails to work after using the registry cleaner, use SYSTEM RESTORE. Moderators hazelnut Posted March 22, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2010 What operating system? Are all your virus/malware scans up to date and clean? Are there any errors that could be connected showing up in the windows event viewer? Did you install or uninstall any software just before this started to happen? marmite
Are you running Vista? Have a look at these articles ... http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/1058...lder-icons.html and ... http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/90705-pe...ll-folders.html It's a very good idea to always back up the registry with something like ERUNT before you mess around with it. Moderators hazelnut Posted March 23, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2010 qwerty77 just putting BUMP in posts isn't really considered good forums etiquette. It looks like we have made quite a few suggestions that unfortunately don't work for you. If no one else has anymore ideas it may be time to post on a dedicated vista forum perhaps?
