Moderators Andavari Posted February 24, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 24, 2010 Interesting removal instructions. So is it not available for removal in Add/Remove Programs?
marmite
Interesting removal instructions. So is it not available for removal in Add/Remove Programs? This is Adobe we're talking about ... it's probably got its own Add/Remove Programs
CeeCee
Interesting removal instructions. So is it not available for removal in Add/Remove Programs? Maybe you are being sarcastic, but it's there. Just go there and remove it. Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker
marmite
Maybe you are being sarcastic, but it's there. Just go there and remove it. The instructions are still pretty dire ... since when have you been able to remove a service by 'deleting' from the Services console?! Neither are they particularly straightforward instructions to follow for novice users.
CeeCee
since when have you been able to remove a service by 'deleting' from the Services console?! Yeah, that's true, and i wondered that one too. Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker
aqua
the thing is.. why they force to download adobe download manager,,if i just want flash player. looks like a toolbar..lol!!!
Moderators Andavari Posted February 25, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 25, 2010 why they force to download adobe download manager,,if i just want flash player. I know they "suggest" it for whatever reason as if downloading the small Flash setup file is so difficult or time consuming. I've did several Flash updates from Adobe's site and opting out of installing it hasn't failed.
aqua
but the optout is for google toolbar,..
Moderators Andavari Posted February 26, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 26, 2010 Maybe you are being sarcastic, but it's there. Just go there and remove it. Not being sarcastic at all really it was just a question since I found it odd for someone to have to go through all that. Just wondered why they didn't say remove it as any other normal program in Add/Remove Programs, and if the user so chooses to download a new version without the vulnerability. Actually rather than having to follow those instructions they should have a downloadable remover like they do for Flash Player, that would be much simpler.
