Intel
Is there a setting in CCleaner that will delete backup files with the extension bak? Thanks. This extension in question is the HyperCam files that HyperCam makes and deletes, but if the recording is not done it will leave behind. CCleaner will not delete them, however. Moderators Andavari Posted February 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 21, 2010 Is there a setting in CCleaner that will delete backup files with the extension bak? On the whole system no it won't. CCleaner doesn't search the whole system partition for files deemed as "junk" extensions, which in turn makes it much safer instead of blindly deleting files. Not all .bak files are junk however.
