Admin MrG Posted September 20, 2005 Admin Share Posted September 20, 2005 Several people have reported that BitDefender is detecting a virus in the ccleaner.exe file. This is a false detection and I'm looking into the issue. MrG Piriform.com - [CCleaner - Defraggler - Recuva - Speccy]
Kapt_George
Hi Sir, Not only Bitdefender give this warning but also Bullguard. But maybe this is because Bitdefender uses the same engine as Bullguard. It concerns a TROJAN : see the log :
Admin MrG Posted September 20, 2005 Author Admin Share Posted September 20, 2005 I've contacted BitDefender and they've swiftly updated their antivirus definitions, so that it should no longer cause a problem. Can someone who uses BitDefender confirm this for me? MrG Piriform.com - [CCleaner - Defraggler - Recuva - Speccy]
Mind Ape
I've contacted BitDefender and they've swiftly updated their antivirus definitions, so that it should no longer cause a problem. Can someone who uses BitDefender confirm this for me? MrG <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess it's still a little too early and they haven't updated their definitions yet but I"m gettin the same warning. I'll post later when/if it's been fixed.
