felixxx99
gawd. I ran CC cleaner after playing this game Machinarium for the past two days and CCleaner deleted the saved games! So I have to start from scratch. I did a quick google and see someone else had the same issue. Can this be fixed? *************(link removed) the game is here: http://machinarium.net/demo/ The demo is web based, but the game is a download. I believe it uses Flash? Jamin4u
Hi felixxx99, and welcome to the forum. You can play the game and then save the cookies. Options -> Cookies -> Cookies to Delete -> Cookies to keep. Alternately, you can clear the box for Adobe Flash Player. Cleaner -> Applications -> Multi Media -> Adobe Flash Player. I hope the links you've posted aren't spam for the game. I only say this because this is your first post here and the game is for sale. Moderators hazelnut Posted November 1, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 1, 2009 Yes Jamin I wondered about whether this was spam too. I have removed the first link as in all the comments on that page there were many links to unauthorised downloads of the full game. The demo is quite cool actually and I played it last week. There is a link in it should you want to pay the (small) price to purchase the game. I will do the save cookie recommendation! edit: I'm not sure what cookies to keep... there's one for machinarium.net but I'm not playing the game online... so I'm not sure. Jamin4u
Keeping the flash cookie for Machinarium.net would save the online demo data and not the downloaded version data. According to the Machinarium forum, the games are saved in the Macromedia Flash Folder as a .sol. You could clear the box for Adobe Flash Player in CCleaner. Cleaner -> Applications -> Multi Media -> Adobe Flash Player. Alternately, you could exclude the file in CCleaner. First you must show hidden files and folders. OS(C:) Under Tools -> Folder Option -> View -> Show hidden files and folders then click OK. In CCleaner: Options -> Exclude -> Add File and follow the path to the end then click OK. Since I don't have the game, I'm not 100% sure of the path. XP: C:\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{Randomword}\Localhost\Program Files\Machinarium\Machinarium.exe\Machinarium.sol Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\{Username}\Application Data\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{Randomword}\Localhost\Program Files\Machinarium\Machinarium.exe\Machinarium.sol Restore: Do not show hidden files and folders then click OK. Post back if you need any more help or if you have success. Online Documentation...CCleaner
