Patricia
I lost all my icons on my desktop including start menu, etc. How can I restore all them to the desktop? I have Windows XP.
Moderators hazelnut Posted October 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2009 Hi Patrica What led up to this event? Did you just boot up and they were gone, or had you been customising things? Have you had other problems such as virus/malware issues? Does this do anything http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279769 Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com

Moderators rridgely Posted October 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2009 Reboot the computer. If your icons and start menu still dont show then try the below: On your keyboard press ctrl+alt+del. Click File>new task. In the box type explorer.exe. Your start menu should load, if not then something is corrupt or possibly a virus.
