Syphus 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2005 I had asked this before and did not get any response. I want to prevent certain folders (or files) in my TEMP directory from getting cleaned. These folder are used by a WEB application for keeping settings current from last usage. Is there a way other that moving the folders each time I want to clean the TEMP folder? What do others think (of having this option)? I would like to have the option if needed. Thanks, Syphus

Syphus 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2005 uncheck Temporary Files in the cleaning option. it's under "System" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is fairly obvious . . . Let me re-phrase this: If I want the temp folder cleaned - with the exception of a set of folders (that are in the temp folder) that I do not want to get cleaned - What are the options? Is there a proceedure to accomplish this. Thanks
seamaiden 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 I also wish that CCleaner had an EXCLUSIONS feature. That way you could keep Temporary Files checked, and it would remove everything in that folder EXCEPT the things you want to keep. Example 1: Delete all Temporary Files EXCEPT for... %userprofile%/Local Settings/Temp/[foldername] %userprofile%/Local Settings/Temp/Desktop.ini Example 2: Delete all Recent Files EXCEPT for... %userprofile%/Recent/Desktop.ini A similar EXCLUSIONS feature for the registry would also be nice. It would clean everything in a particular key EXCEPT for certain values.

Andavari 1 Report post Posted October 6, 2005 Syphus I'd recommend that you post what you want included into CCleaner in the Suggestions thread. And to add my 2 cents I also wish there was an exclusion ability because the Issues scanner constantly finds some Start Menu2 folders that are seen as "old" when in fact they have everyday used shortcuts in them.
