Handy little BSOD viewer

Recommended Posts

As I've done beta testing for some products I have had quite a few. At first they would scare me stiff!!

Most happen when introducing a new driver or piece of software to your system.

To get the info for the mentioned BSOD viewer you have to set things up to save the info, here explains it well

Of the 3 options I only have 'write an event to the system log' ticked.

The 'automatically restart' is a good thing to have unticked or you may not ever get to see the blue screen message, and can get caught in a reboot loop.

Also remember that ccleaner will clean minidumps up as part of it's cleaning process, so if I need to keep the dump for any reason I just go to c\windows\minidump and copy it to my desktop, and then delete when i don't need it anymore.
