hey guys,

I'm having a little problem with my microsoft office (2007) installation...

Every time a program like word or excel starts, it asks for my full name and initials.

it seems it can't properly remember it

If anyone knows something how to fix this, please let me know :)

system: windows vista home premium sp1, 4 gig ram, intel core 2 quad cpu Q9400 2.66 GHz, Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+

A question is never dumb, the person who asks it is.

I have never run into a problem like this before but just off the top of my head, have you activated Office? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall?

There's always an exception to the rule. I'm that exception.

Well I've never heard of this problem when you start Word. Startup Word and use Tools\Options and the User Information tab, put your details in there. Click ok then go back to Tools\Options and User Information tab to see if its reatained this info. If it has then OK again close Word. Open Word again and see what it asks for this time. Now this info only shows in Word I don't know why its asking for it when Excel starts.

Thats what you do with Office 2000, 2003 I can't really say about 2007. ;)

Office is activated properly (it's no pirated version :P )

I guess I'll just reinstall it, it doesn't take that long :)

thanks for the tips by the way :D

I wasn't implying that it was pirated :) Let me know if that fixes it though.

Ah... GREAT! :) I guess it was just a weird bug. I'm glad it's fixed now though!
