Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? swagger There's always an exception to the rule. I'm that exception. Startup Word and use Tools\Options and the User Information tab, put your details in there. Click ok then go back to Tools\Options and User Information tab to see if its reatained this info. If it has then OK again close Word. Open Word again and see what it asks for this time. Now this info only shows in Word I don't know why its asking for it when Excel starts.
