Moderators Andavari Posted July 19, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 19, 2005 Only WinRAR for me! If you need a freeware archiving program here's as few links: 7-Zip, ICEOWS, and TUGZip. Don't forget to check the freeware list in the software section.
agumon
IZArc (freeware) for me... but development seems very slow... i use power archiver (shareware) in the past... --==aGumon==--
englishmen
7-Zip for me no flash look just does a extremely good job of compression and extraction other wise I suggest Tugzip.
Eldmannen
I also use 7-Zip. www.7-zip.org
agumon
is TUGZip good? any commends? --==aGumon==--
englishmen
is TUGZip good? any commends? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For me it did exactly everything I used WinRAR for but but with no cost. After more research and the realization that it is a compression software and does not need to be flashy 7-Zip does everything I want it to do but less resources and less download and installation size. I would recommend 7-Zip.
Moderators Andavari Posted July 25, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2005 TUGZip could really shine as a good freeware archiver if only the programmer would fix some obvious typos in the program.
