Wont delete Online Armor 3 (Free) log Files

I am an experienced user of CCleaner. I just updated Online Armor firewall to V3 (free). Now I cannot delete OA's log files in C:\Program Files\Tall Emu\Online Armor\Logs using CCleaner's "Custom files and folders" app. I have all the folder paths and check marks in place so I know it's set up right--just as it had been before this afternoon and working fine. I am sure it has to do with the firewall.

Interestingly, if I analyze before cleaning it lists these log files to be deleted, but when I clean them, it skips these files.

Any ideas how I can fix this? I have never created my own winapp2 entry. If I did could this remedy the situation?

Have you tried deleting the log files yourself to rule out the files being in use or Armor preventing the files from being removed? As for WinApp2. The end result is the same as included files/folders. Using WinApp2 just adds the additional options to: detect if the app exists, clean registry keys and files and folders.

Yes, I have deleted them on my own. I could see the current log in memory having problems but not the older unused logs. This is a first for me. All years I have used this it did what I needed it to do. Weird. There has to be a way to work around this.

I doubt you will be able to delete a log that is in use. Most apps won't allow that.

As you say you can delete the old ones manually.

I will see what I can find out about this for you.

Thanks. I recovered a pre-update HDD backup image so I have reverted back to previous version of firewall....and CCleaner works properly like it had been I am interested if you come up with anything.

So you are saying that using a previous version of OA (which one?) and CCleaner (which one?), you are able to delete the OA firewall logs, even the one in use?

I reverted back to OA ver free 2.1.0.119 after posting this issue with new OA 3.0.

I used CCleaner v2.12.660 in all instances.

I can delete all "old" unused logs in OA ver free 2.1.0.119 with CCleaner, though I cannot delete the one in use which makes sense

In OA ver 3.0. It would not delete any of the logs. Analyze would show them to be cleaned but they never cleaned them out. I have a feeling that OA is protecting all of its folders at all times in ver 3.0

Thx for keeping this in mind
