papajoe
If there is, I haven't noticed it. Unfortunately, it is still as slow as ever.
Anthony A
If there is, I haven't noticed it. Unfortunately, it is still as slow as ever. Yeah it's POS IMO. Sure it still has all the extensions that make FF great but the slowness and clunkiness are as bad as IE. I am still using FF2 but mostly using Opera. Moderators DennisD Posted September 29, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 29, 2008 Yeah it's POS IMO. Anthony, I do believe you've invented a new Piriform descriptive term. POSIMO. Sort of rolls off the tongue, and sums things up in one word. I'll be using that in future.
Moderators Andavari Posted September 29, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 29, 2008 Sort of rolls off the tongue, and sums things up in one word. I'll be using that in future. And you'll sound so Italian using it too.

tcoffeep
Back OT, I haven't noticed any drastic changes in Firefox 3.0.3, except for certain sites not allowing the Java applet to load (ie - http://www.achaea.com/nexus/play.php ), whereas others will ( ie - java.com ). It's very odd, but, beyond that, I've noticed a memory usage drop, compared to the original 3.0 release. I'm minimalist in my extensions, though, and only keep what I need. Fantasy is the celebration of what we no longer are: individuals certain of our meaningfulness in a meaningful world. The wish-fulfillment that distinguishes fantasy from other genres is not to be the all-conquering hero, but to live in a meaningful world. The fact that such worlds are enchanted worlds, worlds steeped in magic, simply demonstrates the severity of our contemporary crisis.Scott R. Bakker, Why Fantasy and Why Now? YoKenny
I always knew that Firefox was a POSIMO but I didn't have an acronym for it. Lovin' IE8 beta2 on my clunky old PIII. Moderators DennisD Posted September 29, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 29, 2008 How are you pronouncing it? I think it works if you pronounce it as PAUSE-EEE-MO That "sounds" about right. As Andavari said, a touch of Italy. Do you realize, this will start appearing on other forums worldwide. Just you watch.

Anthony A
You could always use it under your avatar. It will spread like wildfire. That would be funny. I am looking around in my controls but I don't see where to do that. I see where to make it a signature (which I might) but not where to add it under my avatar.
