Problems with Recycle.Bin

Recommended Posts

CC stays deleting a file located at: C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1203426221-2609510887-2209366514-1000\$RAVE7VV.exe

Somebody knows what is going on with this very famous file?, how can I solve this problem?. Thank you so much.

Hi onlyone, and welcome to the forum.

Try to empty the Recycle Bin from within the Recycle Bin.

Let us know if this helps.

Heres a link to the CCleaner Guide.

  • 1 year later...

I have the exact same problem, although the directory is slightly different (C:\$Recyce.Bin\1-5-21-2242751123-3360857281-2946595680-500 and C:\$Recyce.Bin\S-1-5-21-3953014182-766720904-1761789177-500) and the file i cant delete is in first folder is $RFMBAZI.part. My computer wont let me access any of these. CClearner does not seem to be able to delete this file and just halts at 35%. The size of these folders is 0bytes yet C:\$Recyce.Bin\Recycle Bin is over 3GB and there is nothing in there (even when i turn on hiddened files and system protected hidden files).

Both complaints are without relevant information.

What versions of CC are in use ?

What operating systems are in use ?

What is the File system, NTFS or FAT32 ?

My daughter has a profile that occupies 0 GB when I am logged in - I have no access.

When she is logged in her profile is much larger (too large but that is another matter ! !)

My recyclers are

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2390561323-618324915-1863506564-1005

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2390561323-618324915-1863506564-1006

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2390561323-618324915-1863506564-1008

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2390561323-618324915-1863506564-501

They are visible and cleanable by myself and CCleaner.

I have some archiving tools that go beyond my profile,

and I am aware that there are many more C:\RECYCLER\S-?????????

which I assume to be my daughter's.

I suspect that perhaps Tedzdog has no access to some-one else's recyclers,

hence he cannot manually select and delete,

but somehow CCleaner can see them, though again it may lack permission to delete.
