Newhotness
Hi all, so heres the story, i was playing around with my boot screen and i accidentally corrupted this file (ntoskrnl.exe, found in the system32 folder) by saving over it with an incompatible file. Now Windows will not boot at all, not even into comand prompt or safe mode. I thought i was clever saving a copy of the original file, however i saved it as "Copy of ntoskrnl.exe" (with the spaces). I have tried to copy it back over the original from the Recovery Console (from the XP re-install Cd) but i'm having problems becasue it can't do anything with files that have spaces in the name. I could really use some suggestions on this one as i'm pretty stuck here. Is there an easy way to get this file back and still keep all my files/docs on my hardrive? thankx
