m123
On my normal W98SE computer, CCleaner ver. 1.19 runs fine. On my wife's puter also W98SE, when the same CCleaner ver. 1.19 = runs, I get the error screen: "Runtime error 429 ActiveX component can't create = object" On my computer, ActiveX is disabled, still CCleaner runs OK. On my wifes computer, not sure of ActiveX status yet, but doubt it is disabled. What is the problem with that error message and how to fix it? Tarun
Does this occur when running the Windows/Applications tabs or Issues tab?
DjLizard
ActiveX in IE (which is probably what you disabled) is different than ActiveX in the operating system (but only slightly). Try: Start, Run... regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCSubTimer.dll" regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCSystem.dll" regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCListView.ocx" regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCTab.ocx" regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCTreeView.ocx" try each one until it works again (I'm not sure which ones are really supposed to be registered, because the installer's details window flies through so fast) Click here if CCleaner Issues are re-appearing DjLizard.net DjLizard.net wiki Dial-a-fix Dial-a-fix tips DjLizard.net software support forum Do you live in Bradenton, Sarasota, Tampa, or St. Petersburg, Florida? I don't even know what ActiveX is whether in IE terms or otherwise. But i did try the five lines about. the first two generated : "Load Libray (" the line..") failed. The specificed module could not be found. the last three "suceeded," but CCleaner still did not run. more suggestions? thanks. could you email me at b2005erkeley@yahoo? thanks!!!
