login123
Checkpoint software is getting into the virtualization business, I guess. A beta product called "ZoneAlarm ForceField" is available at: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/forcefield_x/index.html I just installed it using powershadow and sandboxie. It wouldn't install within the sandbox, but did install under powershadow. No reboot is necessary for installation, but reboot is necessary to uninstall it. SpywareGuard (of all things ) caught the BHO being installed. I presume the BHO is OK, its part of the install. ??? Spybot S&D flagged 3 or 4 registry changes. IE7 got hung, wouldn't link to this forum. Comodo firewall went berserk, firing off warnings, but that would settle down soon enough. Uninstaller said that there were some files left in a virtual partition (I think) which would be deleted on restart. Powershadow wiped it all out on reboot. ZoneAlarm has a great reputation, which is why I tried it. Now will wait for a later version. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. Humpty
Yep I gave it a run in a virtual machine. It seemed to run ok but when I brought up taskmanager there were several processess running that belonged to ZA with the highest showing 98 meg. Shutdown the VM and deleted all changes.
