I copied this method from somewhere and it worked when I tried it(it was for xp home but it would probably work on pro and vista too):

1. Boot into Safe Mode (tap F8 repeatedly after you restart the computer)

2. Log in using the Administrator account

3. Go to C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avnotify.exe

4. Right-click avnotify.exe-> properties-> security-> advanced

5. Under the Permissions folder you will see all of the users. Start with the first user?.

6. Edit-> Traverse Folder / Execute File-> deny-> ok

7. Now perform step 6 for all of the other users-> apply-> yes/ok-> close all open windows

8. Reboot the computer into Normal Mode (start-> shutdown-> restart)

------------

I can't imagine why they were so rude on the antivir forums. With you trying to disable their adware and all. :P:D

But it all amounts to a bit of cheating if you want to remove the nag screen.

I had AntiVir for a little while too because it really is a very good program. But I changed back to Grisoft AVG Free because of the nag screen in AntiVir plus it doesn't scan your incoming e-mail. Which is also an important feature these days.
